Power and Performance
There are two engines to choose from in the 2022 Mazda CX-5. The base is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that puts out 187 horsepower. The other is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 250 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission – which has been tuned to be more responsive – is standard. i-Activ AWD® is also standard. The Mazda CX-5 has always been known for its exceptional handling, and the 2022 model has outstanding steering.
Space and Comfort
Up to five people can fit in the 2022 Mazda CX-5, and both rows offer ample headroom and legroom. Standard features include a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Heated and ventilated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat can all be added. For its class, the Mazda CX-5 has loads of cargo room: 30.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 59.6 cubic feet when they’re down.
