2022 still has several months to go, but you can already get your hands on a 2023 Mazda CX-50. If you’re thinking about this compact SUV, here’s what to expect.
Power and Performance
The Mazda CX-50 comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder version that one puts out 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Both are mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard.
This SUV has very sporty handling, which makes it a joy to drive. It also has good off-road ability, as every model comes with 8.6 inches of ground clearance and a responsive traction control system.
Space and Comfort
There’s plenty of room for up to five people in the Mazda CX-50, and both rows are spacious. Standard features include cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats.
Power-adjustable and heated and ventilated front seats and leather upholstery are available. Cargo room is ample: 31.4 cubic feet behind the back row and 56.3 cubic feet when it’s down.
