Mazda SUVs boast notable capabilities, whether you drive a svelte new Mazda CX-30, a spacious Mazda CX-90, or something in between. Those capabilities are thanks, in part, to Mi-Drive™. Heritage Mazda Bel Air shares its different modes and when to use them.
Mi-Drive™, Explained
Mi-Drive™ refers to the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select feature. It allows you to switch between different driving modes, depending on your driving conditions, so you always have the performance you need. The feature can also work in conjunction with i-Activ AWD®, so you can quickly adjust to the terrain for optimal traction and control.
Normal Mode
The default mode for Mi-Drive™ is Normal. This mode is best for everyday driving situations, such as commuting or driving in ideal weather. It provides a smooth ride and optimal fuel efficiency.
Sport Mode
Sport mode is designed to ramp up the excitement. Step on the accelerator and your vehicle’s engine and throttle response are enhanced. It also helps with acceleration, so it’s best for passing or driving on highways.
Off-Road Mode
When you want to explore tricky surfaces, it’s best to switch to Off-road mode. It’s ideal for muddy, sandy, or snowy surfaces. It can help to prevent wheel spinning and improve your traction and overall off-road performance.
Towing Mode
The Towing mode is an optional mode, which is typically found on models equipped with the turbo or high-output engine option. The mode can only be selected when a trailer is connected to your SUV. It’s designed to enhance your towing safety and can help keep your trailer stable.
