New Collaboration
To better protect Mazda drivers, Mazda has collaborated with the American Automobile Association (AAA) and HAAS Alert. With this new partnership, drivers will get real-time digital alerts that warn them when a Mazda vehicle is stopped on the roadside and needs assistance. This new feature is designed to protect Mazda drivers and passengers in what could be one of their most vulnerable moments – when they’re stranded on the side of the road.
Mazda Safety Philosophy
This new feature is another stride for Mazda, reflecting their continued emphasis on safety. The Mazda Safety Philosophy centers around understanding real-world risk and designing systems that can prevent harm for Mazda drivers and passengers. This Philosophy is evident in the many i-Activsense® safety features, which can protect people inside their vehicles in the event of a collision. This new partnership can help protect them, even when they’re outside of their vehicle.
How it Works
This new feature is powered by AAA's Roadside Assistance Program and HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud® Protect service. When a Mazda driver requests roadside assistance through the MyMazda® app or by calling, they’re connected to AAA, and HAAS Alert is notified. A digital alert is then given to Safety Cloud-connected vehicles through their infotainment system and to their mobile navigation apps, warning them to slow down or move over.
